A Statement From Lesley
As an artist of portraiture through my drawings, I continue to strive to bring out the beauty, mood, and character of each individual I draw—to show an accurate likeness that also reflects the inner spirit.
My paintings tend to concentrate more on nostalgia, taking black and white photos from the past and bringing them to life again with color. I feel like Dorothy landing in Oz and opening the door from her black and white life to a more colorful world.
