About Lesley
Lesley is a local artist living in Dayton, Ohio who enjoys painting in oil and drawing in graphite. Her main focus has been portraiture. Her love of people and the character seen through a single expression has inspired her.
Her main focus in the past few years has been one of nostalgia. Taking black and white photos from years past and deciding what colors to choose to bring the subject to life. Her recent graduation series allows her to decide the personality of each person through bold use of color.
Although continuing with her graduation series, her newest series has brought her back to the softer feel of her graphite drawings. Focusing not so much on traditional portraits, but closer views and different angles of hands and faces.
Lesley is a member of DVAC, DSPS, and exhibits in Dayton at the Cannery Art & Design Center.
